Biography

Kiiko Style Acupuncturist Portland, Oregon

Natasha Colburn, LAc.

I
have been practicing acupuncture happily since 1999. I treat all manner of conditions with a variety of techniques including acupuncture, massage, gua sha, cupping and herbal medicine.

Currently, I am very excited to be studying Kiiko Style Acupuncture with Kiiko Matsumoto and Monica Kobylecka. Kiiko Style uses specific palpation techniques to determine the deeper structural and constitutional imbalances which may underlie a patient's symptoms. Treating the deeper levels, along with the symptoms, helps to cut through complex problems and brings a more complete and lasting healing. Patients (and I!) are often amazed and delighted at the immediate changes that can be felt during a treatment.

When I am not at the clinic, you may see me around Sellwood, walking Lucy the Three-Legged Dog with my brilliant 4 year old son and my superhero husband. I love good food with good friends, eggbeaters, art and a knitting project to lose myself in. My most recent project involves learning and reciting the entire Star Wars Saga because my kid, for some reason, must know the details, though the movies are too scary for him watch.

Testimonials

“Tasha is a wonderful acupuncturist. I’ve had acupuncture throughout the country, over many years, and Tasha is among the best. Not only is she highly skilled, she creates a nurturing, caring, and warm atmosphere where healing can take place on many levels. I started going for treatments of an arthritic thumb and after 6 weeks the pain has been cut at least 75% and is only sporadic. We are also working on other areas of body and mind that need attention/treatment. I always leave feeling uplifted, stress-free, and buoyant. I feel very lucky that I found Tasha and would recommend her to everyone.”

“The neurosurgeon said I had two weeks before I had to have back surgery to avoid nerve damage. After three treatments, I got up from the table and realized the pain was gone! I actually wept with relief. I’m really glad I came in. The acupuncture has given me the chance to heal without surgery.”

—R.S.

“Working with Natasha to alleviate anemia, I’ve also experienced immediate relief from chronic symptoms and aches and pains and have increased my overall sense of well being.”

“After reviewing the past year, I have come to the conclusion that you have made the biggest difference in my life.”

—Patient

“I have been a physician for 25 years. It is always interesting to see the faces of my patients when I tell them that my health care provider is my acupuncturist. I always tell them that when I am sick the first person I call is Tasha. Unfortunately, there is still a great deal of skepticism about the benefits of acupuncture among the medical community and the public. I can attest by personal experience, and that of my patients, that acupuncture is a very effective and valid healing method. Tasha has been my caregiver for the last 6 years, she is not only an excellent acupuncturist she is also a wonderful person. I refer many of my patients to her and all of them share the same opinion. I highly recommend Tasha not only as a patient but also as a physician who has seen the benefit and excellent results that she has achieved with my own patients that I have referred to her.”

—Y. L. MD

“Acupuncture and Chinese medicine used to be a place I would turn when my primary care provider was unable to address my concerns. After seeing Natasha, I now think of her first.”
